Disclaimer
This site documents personal repair and installation experience. It is not a source of professional advice. Read this page before relying on anything here.
Informational purpose only
All content on causeandfix.com is provided for informational and reference purposes only. Nothing on this site constitutes professional mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, or safety engineering advice. Content describes what was observed, attempted, and found to work in specific situations on specific machines or vehicles. It does not describe what will work in your situation.
Repair and installation outcomes depend on vehicle condition, model year, regional variations, component wear, and numerous other factors that this site cannot account for. A fix that resolved a problem on one machine may not resolve the same apparent symptom on a different machine, even of the same make and model.
No warranty
The information on this site is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. This includes but is not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement.
Cause & Fix makes no representation that the information on this site is current, correct, or applicable to your specific situation. Content may contain errors, omissions, or descriptions that do not match your vehicle, machine, or regional regulations.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cause & Fix and its operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or reliance on, any content on this site. This includes but is not limited to:
- Property damage resulting from a repair or installation attempt
- Personal injury resulting from following any procedure described on this site
- A repair or fix that did not resolve the described problem on your vehicle or machine
- Costs incurred as a result of relying on information that turned out to be inapplicable to your situation
- Any secondary or downstream damage caused by a failed or incorrect repair
If you are uncertain whether a described repair is safe or appropriate for your situation, stop and consult a licensed professional before proceeding.
Safety-critical work
Cause & Fix does not recommend that any reader attempt repairs or installations beyond their training and comfort level. When in doubt, hire a qualified mechanic, electrician, or technician.
No professional relationship
Reading this site does not create any professional relationship (mechanical, electrical, legal, or otherwise) between you and Cause & Fix or its operator. Nothing here constitutes a consultation, recommendation, or endorsement of any specific repair approach for your specific situation.
Third-party content and products
Where product names, part numbers, or manufacturer names appear on this site, they are used for descriptive purposes only. Cause & Fix has no affiliation with, and receives no compensation from, any manufacturer or retailer referenced on this site. Product availability, specifications, and compatibility may change after publication.
Dispute resolution
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from your use of this site or reliance on its content shall be resolved as follows:
- Informal resolution first. Before initiating any formal proceeding, you agree to contact Cause & Fix in writing and allow thirty (30) days for an informal resolution.
- Binding arbitration. If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration shall be conducted in Muskegon County, Michigan, or remotely by mutual agreement. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.
- Litigation as last resort. If a dispute is not subject to arbitration, or if arbitration is found unenforceable, it shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Muskegon County, Michigan. You consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
Class action waiver: you agree to bring disputes only in your individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding.
